This morning we almost had a second dog added to the family. Holiday started barking at a dog next door, or at least we thought until we realized that it wasn't any of the neighbors' dogs. The the dog ran to the front of our yard, so Mike and I lured him into the house with treats. He didn't have any kind of identification tag on him, so I proceeded to walk him around trying to find his house or owners.
He brought me up to two houses, neither of which turned out be his home. At the first house was an older man who didn't know where the dog was from. The second house had a sign on the door which read, "No Solicitors" and "Knock. No door bell." So I knocked and first thing I hear is a dog bark and then a baby cry, at this point, I was thinking, "Man, you stupid dog. This is not your house!"
A lady opened the door, I smiled and immediately said, "This isn't your dog?"
She confirmed what I already knew. She apologized. For what I didn't know. I was the one who woke up the baby, so I apologized back and told her to have a nice day. I thought, "Well, if I don't find where he lives we can just keep him and flier around the area."

When we came back to our house, we decided to introduce him to Holiday. He growled and snapped at Holiday, so we decided to take him to HAWS. I felt really bad about it, but he was too aggressive toward Holiday. The shelter is nice, though. They will look for his family for 7 days. After that he will be evaluated for adoption. We are still going to put up fliers with his picture and info about where to find him.
